iWMS debuts in Vietnam with SCTS partnership

KEYfields has entered into a partnership agreement with Supply Chain Technology Solutions Company Limited(SCTS) to distribute KEYfields’ iWMS in the Vietnamese market.


Managing Director of SCTS, Kien Nguyen said, "We're excited about this partnership. Currently, most of the local Vietnamese logistics companies operates manually. With the Government opening up the Logistics market at end of 2011, we will see a lot of competitions from larger overseas players. Hence, there is a pressing need to equip the local companies with technologies in order to level the playing fields. We evaluated a few key software vendors in different parts of the world and found KEYfields’ iWMS most flexible and suited the local marketplace. Grooming Future Logisticians with iWMS

KEYfields and Singapore Polytechnic(“SP”), a statutory body of the Government of Singapore, has entered into a Memorandum of Cooperation (“MOC”) on 4th March, 2011. This MOC outlines the general framework for collaboration between KEYfields and SP. “This partnership with KEYfields enable SP to expose our students with industry best practices web-based solutions which will help them to understand a WMS at work in their workplace”, said Madam Keh Poh Tin, Senior Lecturer, Singapore Polytechnic.


For a start, SP will use one of KEYfields’ suite of logistics software application, iWMS software, for its courses. KEYfields will collaborate with SP to customize the training material for student and work instructions to lecturer needed for the SP courses. Royal Vending chooses RX Distribution to integrate vending machine and backend processes

Royal Vending Pte Ltd (RV) main business is in deployment of Snack Vending Machine. The business activity is mainly in the deployment of vending machines in High human traffic areas (e.g. Social clubs, institutions, hospitals, condominiums etc). These vending machines provide convenient one-stop kiosks to purchase basic necessities. Currently the machines are stocked with snacks and finger food but the products can be easily changed to cater to the public’s wider needs, such as basic necessities (e.g. tissues) and common household items (e.g. can food). It is the vision of Royal Vending Pte Ltd to provide maximum convenience to the general public.


The current system is disparate and does not allow the management to have visibilities of up-to-date inventories and replenishment at each Vending Machine. Information required from each vending machine is currently being collected through filling up replenishment manually by van drivers during each visit to the machine. The backlog of the inventory and replenishment record is wide and to a certain degree inaccurate due to human error.


In order to automate the inventory and replenishment process, RV engages KEYfields to find a solution to capture Sales information directly from the Vending Machines and update back to the backend Distribution system. According to Clement You, Sales and Marketing Head of KEYfields, “Our consultants did some researches on the machine interface and fabricated a special cable that is able to hook up the Vending Machine with a handheld device. We did some trials and manage to download the required information for the backend RX Distribution to optimize the operations. This is the main obstacle in the whole integration which we managed to overcome.”

TMC selects KEYfields RX Accounting solution.

Trinity Methodist Church(TMC) was founded in 1956 by group of young couples. They saw the need for a Methodist Church in the Serangoon Gardens area and so organised worship services and Sunday School classes in 5 homes in the estate. TMC began various projects to introduce herself to the neighbourhood. Hence, to increase her presence in the area, in 2007, the church took over the running of an IT centre at Block 123 Serangoon North Avenue 1.


Since mid of this year, TMC embarks on a search for accounting solutions for her church, kindergarten classes and to adhere to the government book-keeping guidelines for non-profit organization. Premium Logistics grows with KEYfields iWMS

PREMIUM LOGISTICS PTE LTD is a third party logistics provider specializing in handling varied logistics services, provides total supply chain logistics solutions to both the local and international companies. Premium a new formidable force in the local logistics scene, it has leased a warehouse space of approximately 35,000+ square feet at CWT Commodity Hub in Penjuru.


According to David Lim, Director of Premium Logistics, "With the 3PL customers now becoming more knowledgeable and demanding on the use of technologies to ensure that their inventory, orders and deliveries are well managed. Daikin Singapore chooses KEYfields as partner to develop Qs System

Daikin Singapore, a subsidiary of one of the world's largest manufacturers of air conditioning equipment, Daikin Industries Ltd in Japan, apply cutting-edge technologies to enhance man's inner space, providing the comfort of sophisticated air conditioning systems such as our Super Multi home and VRV systems to thousands of Singaporean home, educational and recreational needs.


Daikin Singapore uses Focus, a CRM solution from Malaysia, to process the Project and Quotation System. The CRM solution does not exactly fit into the Project and Quotation Requirements. As such, a mixture of Excel Spreadsheet and Focus system are used to maintain the Project and Quotation information. This does not only create redundant steps but additional red tape for the users. Reports are manually extracted from the Spreadsheet and Focus system. This increases the workload for the Sales Administrator. Hence, a system to provide a single point of entry and able to churn out the reports for analysis and control purpose is needed.


Daikin Singapore is looking for a web-based solution that is able to record and track Project and Quotation details and status for reporting and analysis purpose, a Quotation System (Qs). After evaluating a few options, Daikin decided to take a turnkey project approach as no one CRM Daikin has evaluated meets its requirements. Daikin engages KEYfields to study, analyse, design and develop a system with its key personnel. KEYfields is selected because of its domain knowledge in software development as well as one of the pioneer in using Microsoft .net platform in Singapore.


The Qs is a web-based system that will allow authorized personnel to create and maintain Projects, create and maintain Quotations, assign Project leaders, update Quotation status. iDAC is the right prescription for Ciba Vision

CIBA Vision, a global leader in the research, development and manufacturing of contact lenses and lens care products, is sourcing and evaluating for a Management Information Dashboard system. The Dashboard system shall allow its management and key managers in Asia Pacific to have instant and direct access to its Sales,

Inventory and Receivables information. This information will be extracted from its ERP system, ASW and download to the Dashboard system.


After evaluating a few solutions, Ciba Vision selected KEYfields' iDAC solution. The iDAC is a web-based DASHBOARD system that allows Sales, Inventory Balances and Receivable ageing information to be viewed and analyzed. It allows the management to have a bird's eye view of the requested key performance indicators. The Graphlets can be viewed instantly using a web browser or automatically generated at scheduled timing to be email out to designated personnel at regular intervals.

In 2007, Brewerkz, Singapore's award-winning microbrewery restaurant started a journey to streamline and manage information flows and material flows across its chains of restaurants and breweries.


Being a brewery, one of the key requirements in the systems blueprint was

the conformance to Singapore Customs criteria to have full track and trace visibility of the entire end to end process of beer brewing. From the time raw materials were received into the plants to the time a customer enjoys the first sip of the world-class beer in the restaurant, the entire manufacturing, storage and distribution process must be accurately tracked.

Loreal Asean has successfully gone 'live' with KEYfields' iPOP software

The implementation started in April 2005. Within a period of 4 months, the system went 'live' on target. Prior to the implementation of iPOP, Loreal uses KEYfields' iCPS module to receive manually prepared purchase forecasts from subsidiaries, consolidate the forecasts, review and amend consolidated forecast before sending out the Central Procurement Order (CPO) to the respective factories. However, the iCPS module does not assist the subsidiaries to calculate and suggest purchase forecast.


Hence to improve the whole inventory forecasting and replenishment process, Loreal Asean opts for KEYfields iPOP system. iPOP uses a standard and unify method to assist Loreal's Asean subsidiaries to simulate and suggest the Excess Quantity and Purchase Forecast . The simulation will be based on information retrieve from each subsidiary's ERP system, 3PL's Logistics system and iCPS. Information includes latest Inventory Balances, Stock-in-transit, SKU's ABC Code, Sales Forecasts and Rules such as the number of cover month and safety stock. The Purchase Proposal generated from the system includes transfer of excess quantity across subsidiaries and a suggestion to purchase from factory if no excess quantity exists. The Loreal Asean subsidiaries can view their purchase proposal by login to the iPOP system via web browser (Internet Explorer).


When factory sends the Order Confirmation and Invoice it will be interfaced to iPOP to perform the split across Loreal Asean subsidiaries based on a rule-based formula setup by the Central Logistics Team. The calculated information will also be used to interface to Loreal Asean Central Hub in Singapore.

Long Term Partnership

KEYfield announces the successful go live of iCPS(Central Procurement System) at Loreal ASEAN.

Loreal signed with KEYfields at the end of 2003, and their go live with iCPS represents the first phase of their wider iCPS implementation in their procurement divisions across Loreal Asean. The total project - covering messaging among Loreal Asean and its factories, procurement consolidations, Procurement planning and workbench, order confirmation and invoice from factory - is expected to be fully implemented over a one year period.


Loreal's new central procurement system is expected to streamline its procurement operations, provide a one-stop central procurement hub and optimizing the procurement process from subsidiaries to factories.


Loreal expect to realise benefits in terms of improved stock management and reduce the time needed to prepare the procurements.


The on-time, on-budget implementation of iCPS is a positive indicator for the rest of the project. The use of insights gained from the thorough scoping work done in the lead up to the project, as well as the commitment and experience of the project team from both sides have contributed to this success.


We are pleased that we are in step with Loreal's progressive timetable. It is a testament to the quality and commitment of the joint team implementing the solution.
